A Ramadan quiz the whole family can play

Ramadan evenings are made for games: after iftar, everyone stays at the table, and the kids want to join in. This Ramadan quiz wheel holds 64 questions with their answers, from the easy ones (“Which sweet fruit do many people eat first to break their fast?”) to real general-knowledge teasers.

It works like a classic quiz, with no paper or preparation: the wheel picks a question at random, shows it in large type, and the “Show answer” button reveals the answer only when you are ready. Ramadan 2027, the Ramadan of the Hijri year 1448, is expected to begin around 8 February 2027; each country confirms the exact date after the crescent moon is sighted.

How to play the Ramadan quiz

  1. Pick a set of questions: Kids, Family, Culture, Riddles, or All to mix them.
  2. Turn on “Play in teams” and give each team a name (2 to 6 teams).
  3. Spin the wheel: the number it lands on is the question, shown in large type with the team whose turn it is.
  4. Let the team think, then tap “Show answer”.
  5. Tap Right or Wrong: the point is counted and the turn passes to the next team.

A question that has been asked leaves the wheel, so nobody gets the same one twice. When every question has come out, the wheel fills up again.

The 64 Ramadan quiz questions included

The questions come in four sets. Kids: suhur, iftar, dates, the crescent moon and Eid, perfect Ramadan quiz questions for kids. Family: Ramadan traditions in Morocco and around the world, from harira and the neffar to the Egyptian fanous and Senegal’s Korité. Culture: the Hijri calendar, the revelation of the Quran, the Battle of Badr and Laylat al-Qadr. Riddles: light-hearted brain teasers with no religious theme.

Every answer has been checked, and the questions stay deliberately uncontroversial: no rulings and no topics that divide opinion.

Ideas for a Ramadan family game night

After iftar, at home

Split into two teams, parents against children, and play ten questions before tea. Mix the sets so everyone gets a chance: the youngest shine on the Kids set, the grown-ups on Culture. For balanced teams, the random team generator does the split in one click.

At school, at the club or at a community center

Put the wheel in full screen on the projector: the question and then the answer appear in large type that the back row can read. To choose which student answers, open the name picker wheel in another tab.

With friends, around suhur

Riddles wake up sleepy minds before dawn. If the debate is about the menu, the food wheel decides for you. For a geography round, the Moroccan cities wheel picks a city and each team names one of its specialties.

Does the wheel really pick at random?

Yes. Every remaining question has exactly the same chance: with the All set, 1 in 64 on the first spin, then 1 in 63, and so on. The draw is made by the browser’s cryptographic generator before the wheel even starts turning, so nobody can steer it. The details, with a simulator, are on the fair wheel page.

Frequently asked questions

What are good Ramadan quiz questions for a family?

Mix easy questions about meals and celebrations (suhur, iftar, Eid al-Fitr), questions about traditions such as harira or the neffar, and a few general-knowledge questions about the Hijri calendar. Riddles keep the mood light. This wheel offers 64 questions, all with their answers, in four sets you can play separately or together.

Are there Ramadan quiz questions for kids?

Yes. The Kids set gathers short questions about meals, the moon, dates and Eid, plus two easy riddles. Children aged 6 to 10 can answer on their own, and younger ones can play in a pair with an adult. Older children usually enjoy moving on to the Family or Culture sets.

How do I keep score for teams?

Turn on “Play in teams”, choose 2 to 6 teams and name them. After each question, tap Right or Wrong: a correct answer earns the team a point, then the turn passes to the next team. Scores are saved on your device and stay there when you reload the page.

Can we add our own questions?

Yes. Open the editor and add one question per line: your version is saved in “My wheels” on your device. Questions you add have no built-in answer, so read the answer out yourself, then score the point with Right or Wrong. The original questions keep their answers.

When does Ramadan 2027 start?

Ramadan 1448 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, with Eid al-Fitr around 9 or 10 March 2027. Each country announces the exact dates after the crescent moon is sighted, so they can differ by a day. The quiz wheel itself works all year round, even offline after your first visit.
