Spin the Wheel: Free Random Wheel Spinner
Spin. Pick. Decide. The fastest, fairest random wheel: free, no sign-up, and in your language.
How to spin the wheel
Type a few names, choices or ideas, then spin the wheel: it picks one at random in a few seconds, with ticking sounds and a winner pop-up at the end. This random picker wheel is built for classrooms, game nights, giveaways and everyday decisions, with nothing to install and no account to create.
- Add your entries. Write one entry per line, or paste a whole list from a spreadsheet, a chat or a document. The wheel redraws as you type.
- Spin. Press the Spin button, tap the wheel, flick it with your finger, or press Ctrl+Enter on a keyboard.
- Read the result. The winner appears in large type, ready to copy, share or spin again.
- Fine-tune it. In Settings, remove winners as you go, draw several at once, or change the duration, colors and sounds.
Everything this wheel spinner can do
Many spinner sites lock the useful options behind a paywall or bury the wheel under ads. Here, every feature is free.
-
Weighted entries
Give an entry more or fewer chances with a weight from 0.1 to 100. Its slice resizes to match and the exact percentage is shown.
-
Elimination mode
Take each winner out after the spin. The wheel remembers who is out, even after a reload, and refills itself once everyone has had a turn.
-
Several winners per spin
Draw 1 to 10 winners in a single spin, with no repeats, ranked in order. Handy for prizes and speaking order.
-
Real full screen
One tap, or the F key, leaves only the wheel and the Spin button on screen. It works on iPhone too and keeps the screen awake.
-
Share by link, WhatsApp or QR
Send your wheel to a group chat or show a QR code to the room. The list travels inside the link, so it never expires.
-
Works offline
After your first visit the site works without a connection, and it can sit on your home screen like an app.
-
Up to 5,000 entries
Paste a long list of names or comments in one go. On crowded wheels, the entry under the pointer is shown live.
-
Result image
Turn a result into a square or story-sized picture with the winner, date and time, ready to post as proof.

For the classroom, parties, giveaways and work
In the classroom
Teachers spin to call on students fairly or choose who presents first. Elimination mode gives every student a turn before anyone is called twice, and classroom mode enlarges the text for the projector. The random name picker comes set up for exactly that.
At parties and game nights
Spin for the next player, a dare or the next song. The Suspense style slows the last turns right down for a bigger reaction. The truth or dare wheel has questions ready to go.
For giveaways and contests
Paste your participants, pick one or several winners and publish the result image. Visible odds and cryptographic randomness give your followers a good reason to trust the outcome.
At work and in workshops
Decide who speaks first at the stand-up, hand out a task or open a training session with a random question. Full screen reads well on a shared screen or in a video call.
A truly random wheel
The winner is drawn with your browser’s cryptographic random number generator, crypto.getRandomValues, before the wheel starts moving; the animation then stops inside that slice. A harder flick changes how long the wheel turns, never where it stops, and every slice is sized in exact proportion to its chance. No hidden setting can force a winner. The wheel fairness page runs up to a million spins so you can compare the results with the expected odds.
Your lists stay on your device
There is no account to create and no list is uploaded to our server. Your wheels live in your browser’s local storage, saved automatically under “My wheels”, with a 30-day trash for accidental deletions. A full JSON backup can be downloaded at any time.
When you share a wheel, its content is packed into the part of the link after the # sign. Browsers never send that part to the server, so the names on your wheel do not even appear in our logs.
Frequently asked questions
Is the wheel spinner really random?
Yes. Every result comes from crypto.getRandomValues, the same source browsers use for security keys, with a method that removes the bias of naive random code. The winner is chosen before the animation starts and each slice matches its probability exactly. With 8 equal entries, each has a 12.5% chance on every spin.
Can a spinner wheel be rigged?
On some sites, yes: weights can be hidden or a streaming overlay edited. Here there is no rigged mode and no way to force a winner. Extra weight makes a slice visibly bigger, displays its percentage and adds a custom odds badge under the wheel, so everyone watching can see it.
How do I remove a name after it is picked?
Open Settings and switch the mode to Elimination. Each winner then leaves the draw when you close the result, after two seconds, or when you choose. Eliminated entries stay in your list, greyed out, until you press Reset all, or the wheel refills itself when automatic reset is on.
Is there a wheel spinner with no ads?
This one. LuckyWheel shows no ads today, and every feature is free with no premium plan. If advertising is ever added to keep the site running, it will never appear above the wheel, during a spin, in full screen or in classroom mode, and there will never be pop-up interstitials.
Can I save my wheel without an account?
Yes. Every change is saved automatically in your browser, and “My wheels” keeps as many wheels as you like, sorted by last use. Deleted wheels stay in the trash for 30 days. To move your wheels to another device, export a JSON backup or simply send yourself a share link.
How many names can I put on the wheel?
Up to 5,000 entries per wheel, pasted all at once or imported from a TXT, CSV or JSON file. On very full wheels the labels would be too small to read, so they are hidden and the entry under the pointer is shown above the wheel instead. Duplicates go in one click.
How do I share my wheel on WhatsApp or with a QR code?
Open Share: copy the link, send it straight to WhatsApp, or display a QR code for people in the room to scan. Tick read-only if others should spin but not edit. The link never expires, because the whole wheel is stored inside it.
Does it work on a phone and without internet?
Yes. On a phone, the wheel and the Spin button fit on the first screen without scrolling, and the editor opens as a bottom panel. After one visit with a connection, the site also works offline, and you can install it on your home screen like an app.
