An optional account to find your wheels anywhere
Every wheel and every tool on LuckyWheel works without an account: your lists are saved in your browser, on your device. An account simply adds a backup and sync on top. Build a wheel on your phone, pick it up again on the classroom computer, and keep a record of your draws.
You can sign up with an e-mail address and a password, or continue with Google. No payment details are ever requested and no feature is reserved for members: the random wheel, the random name picker for giveaways and all the other tools work exactly the same with or without an account.
What your account stores
- Your sign-in details: e-mail address, first name if you give one, the language of our e-mails and, if you use it, your Google account identifier.
- A copy of your wheels and settings: entries, titles, results, preferences and tool options, as they are saved in your browser.
- Your draw history: date, tool, title, winners, alternates and number of entries. Full participant lists are never part of it.
This data is only used to give you sync and history. It is never sold, shared or used for advertising. The details are in our privacy policy, and every cookie is listed on the cookies page.
How sync works
Your device stays in charge: you can spin offline, and your changes reach your account a few seconds later, as soon as you are back online. If the same wheel was edited on two devices, the most recent version wins, and your list of wheels merges both sides. A very large list, over 256 KB, stays only on the device where it was created.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to use the wheel?
No. The account is completely optional. Without one you get every feature: unlimited wheels, elimination mode, several winners per spin, sharing, full screen and offline use. Your wheels are then saved in your browser. An account only lets you find them on another device and keep a history of your draws. You can start without an account and create one later: your existing wheels are added to it automatically.
Is the account free?
Yes, it is free and will stay free. There is no subscription, no premium plan and no members-only feature. Creating an account does not unlock any extra tool: it only adds the backup of your wheels, their sync between your devices and the history of your draws. We never ask for payment details, and we do not send newsletters or marketing e-mails.
What happens to my wheels if I sign out?
They stay on your device. Signing out only stops the sync: your wheels, settings and results are still in your browser and keep working, offline included. The copy kept in your account is not erased either. When you sign in again, the changes made on both sides in the meantime are merged, and the most recent version of each wheel is kept.
Are my participant lists sent to your server?
Only if you have an account, and only to sync your wheels and settings, like a backup. The draw history itself keeps just the winners, the alternates and the number of entries, never the full list. Very large lists stay on your device. Without an account, none of this leaves your browser, apart from the contact form if you write to us.
How do I export or delete my data?
From the “Your data” tab on this page. The download button gives you a JSON file with everything your account stores. The “Delete my account” button immediately and permanently erases your account, synced wheels, history and sessions from our server, after a confirmation step. The wheels saved in your browser stay on your device, and you can delete them from “My wheels” too.
Can I sign in with Google?
Yes, with the “Continue with Google” button. Google only sends us your e-mail address, your name and an account identifier, after you agree on its own page. We never see your Google password, contacts or files. If a LuckyWheel account already exists with the same verified address, the two are linked, and you can then use either sign-in method.
